This paper describes the progress achieved for each segment of the renewable energies industry. However, the overview is limited to those types of energy which have managed to occupy a major market segment since the introduction of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) and the Market Incentive Programme (MAP) for renewable heat.
