Wind energy on land (onshore)

To generate electricity the kinetic energy of the wind is converted into a rotary movement by the turbine's rotor blades, the rotary movement drives a generator inside the nacelle - similar to a bicycle dynamo. Design of the rotor blades, as well as the wind speed, is decisive for the yield. If the wind speed doubles the output of the turbine can increase eight-fold.
